A Fall Feeling

There’s a Fall feeling in the air! Back to work is never fun but Fall is one of my favourite fashion seasons. Here’s everything I’m loving and the staples I come back to every year.

And just like that, we’re heading into Fall. There seems to be no transition period between both seasons; one day you’re make-up free and barefoot on the beach with your phone on DND, the next you’re rudely awakened by an early alarm and back to the grind as if nothing ever happened. That said, Fall is one of my favourite seasons! The temperature drops just enough to start layering up a little, but not too much. The sun is still out, the days are still long and the air feels fresher than ever.

September in the fashion industry is a big deal; Vogue releases the September issue, acting as the launchpad for the Autumn/Winter season, and whilst most of us shift helplessly between our Summer and Winter wardrobes trying desperately to remember how to dress for the cooler weather, any inspiration is welcome. New trends help us to style last winter’s items differently, or encourage us to invest in a few statement pieces to live alongside them. That said, I always come back to the most classic and timeless pieces. My favourite thing about Fall fashion is that it can be, at its core, really quite simple. With the right staples, a statement coat or bold accessories can do all the hard work, allowing for the foundations to be genuinely low-maintenance and effortless. Let’s get into it.
